The Ft. Hood mass-murderer, identified as Maj. Malik Nidal Hasan, was early on said to have been a recent convert to Islam. Fox now confirms that the 39-year-old Virginian-born psychiatrist was a Muslim convert.
Does Hasan's conversion to Islam make his assault on American forces an act of jihad? And who converted him, anyway?
So far, I haven't heard any media even ask the question. Instead, we are already getting a heavy vibe about Hasan's having been disgruntled about an upcoming deployment to Iraq or Afghanistan, and a negative job evaluation.
More to come.
